Life after a Prader-Willi Syndrome Diagnosis

We received our Prader-Willi Syndrome Diagnosis on August 2021 a few weeks after our daughter Serenity was born. Parenting was a new experience, but we knew it would be different following the diagnosis. I was nervous for the future as there were already so many unknowns.

Our Serenity is the happiest, most precious bundle of joy and her diagnosis is just a perfect part of who she is. We wouldn’t change her for the world.

This Blog is to let readers know that although we have our ups and downs, the diagnosis is manageable. This blog will give you tips on recipes, nutrition from a parents perspective, growth hormone, managing consultants and managing life with the diagnosis. Despite all the help we get from the medical professions, it’s important to do your own research as you know what’s best for your child as every child with the same condition is so wonderfully different. I wanted to give an insight on our journey so I can share the knowledge and challenges we have encountered to help anyone if they are in the early stages of diagnosis.
